LGBTQ2S+ Adults Welcome!
Everyone has unique sensory wants, needs and limits. Get to know yourself better through sensory-based exploration and play. Engage in open-ended activities for the sake of fun, self-regulation and an opportunity to reflect on your own sensory experiences. All activities are optional and exploratory. You get to decide what, when and how to engage based on your own needs.
Bring headphones if you would like to listen to music while you explore.
Tyler is a trained Peer Support Specialist who facilitates art-based mental health support groups (Creative Growth) at NAMI Juneau and UAS. They believe creativity and sensory experiences are valuable coping skills, often underutilized by adults. Tyler enjoys swimming, creating, reading, and making intense eye contact with their cat.
